Kaibo Flex are true wireless stereo (TWS) headphones, this technology allows the left and right channels to receive different sounds, creating a surround sound-like effect. This means that from the 'off' state, both sides need to be turned on by pressing each side for 5 seconds at the same time and waiting for the 'TWS Connected' voice notification. This ensures both left and right sound channels are in sync. If this isn't the case, you may not hear any audio from one side, or they might be slightly unbalanced.
We have launched a firmware update that may solve this issue. The firmware update will solve the following:
1. Ability to turn the wearable detection on and off. Just tap either side 5 times to turn this feature on or off. After the update, it will be off on default.
2. We have enhanced reliability of the light sensor detection while wearing. It was not working in the defined time slot so that caused problems with other Kaibo Flex functions including the following:
- Possibility of both sides not syncing
- Possibility of link disconnection
- Possibility of the battery not charging
3. We have fixed a problem where the right or left ear does not respond to touch controls or has no sound.
We are sharing here instructions for a firmware update you can use to solve this issue
Please note that the installation works only on Windows OS. If you are using a Mac, kindly find a Windows PC to complete the installation. If you are experiencing any issues with the installation, please let us know.
If this doesnt work, you can try to reset the device. Please troubleshoot by doing the ff:
1. Put headsets in the charger and make sure the front light is flashing and both sides have light on. If not please make sure the headset is put in the charger firmly
2. When you take out the headsets, you will hear "TWS connect" then "connect". It means both sides have been connected and connected to your bluetooth device. In case, you experience only one side has sound, then put it back in the charger, and take it out again. Normally it will work just fine
3. If you do not use a charger:
a. Press EITHER side to turn off the headsets
b. Press BOTH sides simultaneously for 5 seconds to turn on the headsets
c. RESET: press BOTH sides simultaneously for 10 seconds till hear a series of beeps. It takes time to get used to the reset. If you experience only one side working, try to reset again.
